This is a cover of an old novel. John C. Wright explicated in the usual way, but failed to mention the beauty of this psychedelic image.

After a quarter century, I seem to have discovered a visual style that appeals to me at a primal level. I think this is the point of the style, which I have no vocabulary to describe or appreciate.

Another instance of this is the cover of August Burns Red’s newest album, Rescue and Restore.

A final side note, either this essay by Wright was very clear and structurally harmonious or I am finally acclimating to the level of reader engagement required to read Wright essays. If the latter is true, it’s been a long five years from Vox Day WND columns to here.
