A rhetorical technique: appending the ellipse

A comment I left at the Chateau Heartiste:

America is a nation of immigrants…who wiped out the native cultures and massacred their populations.

A predictable trait of neotenids is that they are impressionable, meaning they pick up on associations indiscriminately. This can be hijacked by repeating their favorite shibboleths with something appended that will cause them anxiety. After seeing it a couple of times, they become unable to think the original thought (“America is a nation of immigrants”) without making the association to the appended form of the statement.

Thus, their shibboleths will quickly begin to cause them anxiety. Because their brains are wired to down-regulate anxiety by ignoring the stimulus, this deprograms their shitlib NLP as currently written.

No, it’s almost entirely from reading Vox Day’s explanations and demonstrations and practicing in the brawls in his comments section (which is like the internet’s version of an old West saloon). But it’s like Yogi Berra said, you can learn a lot just by watching.

I’m quite happy to turn you loose on this.
