Alt-right shibboleths

This is inspired by Vox Day’s effortless differentiation between libertarians and alt-righters.

The key difference between the Alt-Right and libertarianism is that libertarianism insists on the existence of Rational Man. The Alt-Right observes, to the contrary, that Man is an irrational, rationalizing creature. Where you fall on that question alone will logically dictate whether you ultimately side with the libertarians or the Alt-Right, if your ideals incline towards the libertarian.

Vox Day
Libertarian vs Alt-Right

This is an ingenious reduction. So I sperged out a little on the alt-right divisions, and this is what I came up with.

What unites the Alt-Right is winning. So the determining question between alt-right and anything else on the right is “Are you winning?” (I.e. Do you acknowledge the existential struggle, the purposeful and remorseless enemy, the necessity of winning, and do you have the balls to dig in and win?) Emotions are downstream from worldview, and shared worldview is culture. The alt-right’s use of humor is a cultural weapon which either weakens aspects of some worldview (e.g. they called us hitler lol haha not a big deal) or strengthens them (e.g. look at these idiot anti-Trumpers riot, they obviously agree that we can’t share a country).

What separates the Alt-White from the Alt-West is the CQ. “Is Christianity good for white nations?” Notice this has nothing to do with its truthfulness, as befits our godless age. Molyneux is therefore Alt-West, despite his atheism. The Alt-Lite is just a preliminary feeder into these two camps, so it’s distinguished from them by deferment on the CQ. You’ll note that a number of Alt-Lite people are emigrating into the Alt-West in response to the problem of Evil, as revealed in the organized Satanist pedophilia scandal centered around John Podesta and the Clinton Foundation. In the presence of incorporated Evil they could no longer defer the CQ.

So what follows from the CQ are competing worldviews which answer the four existential questions differently.

“Question”
[Alt-White answer]
+Alt-West answer+

“What will happen when I die?”
[You will live on through your national (spirit) genepool.]
+Your soul will live on, having been shaped by your thoughts and actions as an embodied soul.+

“What’s the meaning of life?”
[Genetic struggle for dominance.]
+Salvation through self-sacrifice.+

“How should I conduct myself?”
[Strive.]
+Worship.+

“Am I loved?”
[Your blood relatives feel a genetic altruism toward you.]
+Yes.+

Distilling these into one-word systems, we have the following answers to the four existential questions of culture.

[Alt-White]
Eternity -> [Hegelian utopianism]
Morality -> [Nietzchean pragmatism]
Accountability -> [Statist totalitarianism*]
Charity -> [Nationalist socialism]

+Alt-West+
Eternity -> +Individualism+
Morality -> +Cultural Christianity+
Accountability -> Either +Catholicism+ or +Tribalism+
Charity -> +Altruism+

These terms might be a little loose at this point.

*No, it’s not just a meme. The Alt-West’s insinuations aside, there is no such thing as “just a meme”. See TDS 108 with Curt Doolittle.

    Great post.
    I don’t think Nietzschean pragmatism necessarily leads to a totalitarian state, but I don’t think you were implying that.
    I’m a mix of the two. I’m also a genetic mix of the two, which could partly explain that.

      >Great post.

      Thanks!

      >I don’t think Nietzschean pragmatism necessarily leads to a totalitarian state, but I don’t think you were implying that.

      I wasn’t.

      >I’m a mix of the two. I’m also a genetic mix of the two, which could partly explain that.

      I’m getting more and more confident in the assertion that political beliefs are determined by phenotype.

    The alt-right exists so you can dismiss the alt-right, then keep talking about the very same thing you were just talking about. Itz not real. Did you know that memes, are memes, just like banning memes is a meme? Did you know that meme, is meme spelled backwards?

    Schhh!!!

      This is what I get for writing a blog for insane people.

        “Otack är världens lön”. :D “This is what I get for writing a blog for insane people.”
        Trump town is boom town! Woo is becoming reality, expect more customers! Slap some ads on this place here and become a muhillionaire.
        Regards Melon “Trump-Tite” Melonson.

        Stephen Bannon said it best tho regarding the Alt-Right.
        “If I am a part of the Alt-right, then I am not aware of it”. It was on Breitbart a few days ago but I didn’t save the article, ugh. But that is how you do it! Itz genious.

  3. Mycroft Jones says:

    Alt-White is objectively more “true”, but Alt-West is objectively more fit, more effective, and much more necessary for our survival. Why can’t one hold both sets of beliefs simultaneously.

    • Aeoli Pera says:

      I believe you can. As far as I can tell, they are both correct and viable ideologies. However, the consequences for both are difficult to predict and the consequences of the former, when they’re right in front of you, are generally regrettable (unless you’re Heaviside).

      What divides them is an emotional reaction to Christianity.

  4. Kingboss says:

    Going by this I would be Alt-White. Oh well.

  5. Edenist Whackjob says:

    Is Man rational or irrational?

    Didn’t the old Greeks believe Man was rational and thumotic and animal? That seems like a more accurate map of the world. Ie some Men are highly rational, but probably no one is so 100% of the time.

  6. Edenist Whackjob says:

    Is it accurate to summarize this as: Gnon vs God? Or Nietzsche’s active nihilism vs faith?

    • Aeoli Pera says:

      Pretty close, yeah. The Alt-West is culturally Christian, whereas the colloquial usage of “faith” refers to credulous trust in authority, which is typically not the case (especially not in rural America).

  7. Kingboss says:

    As someone who has observed the various branches of the anti-mainstream rebellion, I don’t think this binary system would really apply to anyone outside of the Christian sphere [talking about whites in particular]. Among the semi-militant section of the Neopagan movement there is an especially strong backlash towards the overall frame of modern society. Whether ideological [Von List/Varg Vikernes] or separatist [WOV & Icelandic Asatru] or nationalistic [Argemeinschaft/Thule-Society], this part is not christian [or in some cases anti] yet is still spiritual and tribal in its ideals. I assume one could call such alt-white, but the definintion of alt-white here seems to be very materialistic compared to any of that.

  8. Heaviside says:

    >Notice this has nothing to do with its truthfulness, as befits our godless age.

    Nothing to do with godlessness. Most religious people only accept religion because they think it is good for society, not because they know it to be true. Otherwise, they would be occultists or philosophers.

    “White” is precise(ignore stupid debates about “whether Italians are really white”), but it is a synthetic and artificial identity. “Western” is just vague. People who promote “Western Civilization” can praise the Greeks and condemn slavery in the same breath. Promotion of “Western” values can easily become the promotion of that which causes the sun to set on the “Abendland” e.g. people who criticize Islam for not being feminist enough.

    • Edenist Whackjob says:

      “I am pretty sure there was, at one point, such a thing as western civilization. I think it involved things like dancing around maypoles and copying Latin manuscripts. At some point Thor might have been involved. That civilization is dead. It summoned an alien entity from beyond the void which devoured its summoner and is proceeding to eat the rest of the world.”

  9. glosoli says:

    ‘Nothing to do with godlessness. Most religious people only accept religion because they think it is good for society, not because they know it to be true. Otherwise, they would be occultists or philosophers.’

    Yeah, Islam has been so fucking good for society.

    There is no *religion*, there is God & Jesus, and a load of other fictional BS humanist stuff, where man gets to do what the fuck he wants. Buddhism, Hinduism, all BS.

    The Alt-right doesn’t come down to winning in my view (ultimately there is no winner here on earth).
    It comes down to being right and being good.
