Part 2 of this week’s homework

The statistical argument in the second half is a waste of time but the first half is worth the price of entry.

  1. Mycroft Jones says:

His argument that “we are all Jews because of muh statistics” doesn’t really hold up. What was his other point? Oh, that the Jews only possess Israel if they are living up to their covenant. No. Have to disagree there. God made one-sided covenants with Israel. He keeps them no matter what they do. Some covenants were two-sided. But the particular ones in question were one-sided. So Israel is properly a Jewish state. And let them have it and enjoy it; gives them motivation to be good citizens of the world.

Disagree, Anderson made a strong case for the two-sidedness of that promise.

        It seems to be two-sided:

        http://biblehub.com/kjv/leviticus/26.htm

‘If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; 41And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: 42Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. 43The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes. 44And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. 45But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.

46These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.’

Israel needs to repent, then God will remember the covenant with Abraham.
I haven’t watched the video, not really interested.

Notice above the line about ‘uncircumcised hearts’. Very interesting.

Indeed. Excellent choice of selection here.

        • Mycroft Jones says:

Only some of the covenants were one sided. Yes, I know about sin and be exiled, repent and get your land back. It is all through the Old Testament, every single prophet hammered that message home.

Point is, the covenant with Abraham was one sided, and possibly some others. Pastor Anderson was saying that the covenant with Israel is finished, Christians are the new Israel. Not so. Christians also have a covenant with the Almighty, but it is a different covenant. Because it falls under the covenant with Abraham, the Jews (or whoever “Troo Israel” is) will always have a right to the Land of Israel. Maybe they have to repent first. But maybe they don’t have to repent as much as we think. Remember, It only would have taken 10 righteous men for Sodom and Gomorrah to be saved. How many righteous Jews required for the return to the Land? Especially if it happens at a very significant time? How many righteous Jews were there when the recall from Babylon in Ezra’s time took place? Read Ezra and Nehemiah… they were almost as sinful then as the Jews of today.

While I was sitting in a cell on Passover week, some information came to me. When I got out of the cell I checked it out. The state of Israel was founded 480 years before the Temple is prophecied (by Daniel) to be rebuilt. Know when Solomon’s Temple was built? 480 years after Israel entered the land.

LOL, Israeli snipers intentionally shoot at the eyes and kneecaps of Palestinian children in order to cripple them and make them a burden on their communities.
