Some more reliable metaphorical (“dream logic”) correspondences:
Mirror = introspection, self-concept
Vampire = psychopath (doesn’t appear in a mirror = no capacity for self-awareness)
Trapped in a mirror = Jungian introversion (i.e. hyper self-aware neurosis)
Shattered mirror = Schizophrenia, ego death
I used the weekend poorly so it may be a slow week around here.
Reflection in the mirror taking on a mind of its own and/or said reflection speaking to you: Loss of control/mental disturbance/prelude to insanity:
If I recall correctly, in the third Evil Dead film (Army of Darkness), a mirror actually shatters into several different miniature Ashes and they start antagonizing and tormenting him.
I expect the mirror moving out of accordance with what it’s reflectung is more often a representation of the id and ego being separated by cognitive dissonance.
