You don’t need to be anything other than butthurt and honest to be creative. Not really complicated. I guess you need to be comfortable with your medium too. Most people aren’t creative. It does lead to a lack of comprehension. The degree of distortion between smart people on TV and smart people in real life is less than the degree of distortion between what most people think a creative person is like and what a creative person actually is. “Be regular and orderly in your life like a bourgeois, so that you may be violent and original in your work.”
One of the arguments I’ve heard in favor of bullying lately is that the people who turn out not to deserve it increase their creative output (i.e. “Let God sort them out.”). Attrition rate is probably fairly high though. Mostly you just make omegas and lambdas out of would-be deltas. Rather a waste of human capital. There is a funny irony in the fact that saps’ impulsive, warlike nature means that there will always be a need for thal brains and bodies, and that the more we let saps be saps, the more stable the thal evolutionary niche will be. Perhaps even more ironic is when a neanderthal supports the proliferation of weed.
