Female white guilt as fertility signalling

An insight that came up during the following conversation.

“Without guilt” seems to be how you market things to women. I guess they feel guilty about a lot, or at least try to make it look as if they are.

Maybe moderate neuroticism is a femininity marker, so they’re both higher in it and signalling it. Would be interesting to correlate it with estrogenization…HA! Would you believe it’s a fertility signal? https://www.eivf.org/post/are-you-neurotic-you-might-have-high-fertility

Now that’s something

Interestingly, this may be related to low agency: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2941046/. It matches intuition that low-serotonin women would have more babies, and especially that this would be a femininity signal. The obvious counterpart being high serotonin-as-masculinity signal. If this is how you *market* to women, then clearly it’s also an ideal self-concept.

“With respect to links between personality and the digit ratio, a positive association was observed between 2D:4D-Ratio and Neuroticism in females, as shown in the earlier study.” (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4901036/) “But in contrast to the results for the whole and the German female sample, where 2D:4D-Ratio of both hands were related to Neuroticism, in the Chinese female sample only left hand 2D:4D-Ratio was significantly and positively related to Neuroticism.”

It’s a white female thing specifically! This is actually really cool. White female guilt as fertility signal!

Explains literally everything.
