Something I didn’t address in yesterday’s post is activities where more IQ works against you.
Some activities, like demagoguery, may actually be harder to learn if your IQ is higher than some optimum number. So if you want to become the next Hitler but your IQ is 155, determine the optimum IQ number for the task and standard deviation (more realistically, just guess) and budget extra time according to this:
Minus 4th decile: It should take you 10x as long as average
Minus 3rd decile: It should take you 5x as long as average
Minus 2nd decile: 2x
Minus 1st decile: 1.5x
Optimal decile: Optimum time
Plus 1st decile: 1.5x
Plus 2nd decile: 2x
Plus 3rd decile: 5x
Plus 4th decile: 10x
Some activities, like reproduction, are anti-correlated with IQ. So you have to flip the IQ chart around:
0th decile: It should take you 1/25th as long as average
1st decile: It should take you 1/10th as long as average
2nd decile: It should take you 1/5th as long as average
3rd decile: 1/2x
4th decile: 2/3x
5th decile: Average
6th decile: 1.5x
7th decile: 2x
8th decile: 5x
9th decile: 10x
Remember, this is just for the up-front learning/study/mental preparation part and doesn’t address the total amount of time you should plan on working.
Aeoli have you done any of the Cooijmans tests?
I did the Asperger’s inventory years ago. I might have the screencaps around somewhere.
Would you please use a different avatar?
Absolutely not, you can permanently ban me from your blog if you want but I’m not changing it LOL
All right then, you’re permanently banned.
