Between the peace prize, the Eritrean mercenaries, and the international media support, I’m going to guess the prime minister is the bad guy. This is a country with three ethnic groups, so one has probably been dominating the others for long enough that they overextended. It sounds like the other two are now ganging up. If true, that sounds like a worst possible case (in terms of death toll) since the aftermath will be a power struggle. Curious that the prime minister’s name is Ahmed in a Christian country.
Looks like I guessed right: “On Monday night, Tigrayan forces said they had linked up with fighters from an Oromo force also fighting the central government. The Oromo are Ethiopia’s biggest ethnic group. Many of their political leaders are currently in prison.” This is going to be very ugly because with supply chains compromised there isn’t going to be food aid. We’re potentially looking at tens of millions dead from famine.
This should be a wake-up call to a lot of people but I fear they’re beyond waking up. How many people are going to look at yet another African conflict and think “this is the leading edge of an anti-democratic age”? Not many.
The Amhara are a Semitic group that’s about 80% Orthodox by religion, the remainder being Sunni. They’re about 1/4 of all Ethiopians. The Tigrayans are only 6% of the population, although a significant number were recently killed by government policy. They’re a mix of Semitic and Afroasiatic, and overwhelmingly Orthodox (96%).
Later on, the Mengistu Haile Mariam-led brutal military dictatorship (Derg) used the 1983–1985 famine in Ethiopia as government policy (by restricting food supplies) for counter-insurgency strategy (against Tigray People’s Liberation Front guerrilla-soldiers), and for “social transformation” in non-insurgent areas (against people of Tigray province, Welo province and such).[16][17][14]: 43 Due to organized government policies that deliberately multiplied the effects of the famine, around 1.2 million people died in Ethiopia from this famine. The majority were from Tigray province and other parts of northern Ethiopia.[14]: 44 [18][19]

Since that left about 6-7 million survivors in the modern day (after 35 years of subsequent population growth), this would have been a huge proportion of the population. Could have been anywhere from one in six to half of the total Tigrayan population killed. Sounds like a half-completed genocide.
The Oromo are straight-up Africans with little admixture. They’re about 1/3 of Ethiopians, a slight plurality. They’re 55% Muslim. A third are Orthodox. 4% are “traditional religion” which in Africa means they’re probably the ones setting old women on fire for witchcraft when the crops don’t grow. There isn’t much of interest about them on Wikipedia.
What I’m getting from this is the Tigrayans are probably the old elite, displaced by a less talented and more populous group with international backing (i.e. Amhara and the ZOG). The Amhara took the opportunity of international media support to exterminate the former aristocratic ethnicity but didn’t quite succeed. And now the old money group has waxed strong again and is taking advantage of revealed American weakness in Afghanistan to reassert themselves. The Oromo, being pure Africans, are joining the apparent winners for a bit of looting, murder, and rape.
This is likely a direct result of the observable Zionist foreign policy to back the second-strongest ethnic group in every country they want to control by proxy government, destabilizing the country and fostering dependence in the new elite. It’s a good strategy until your money becomes worthless.
I’d guess that the first white country to follow suit will be severely punished to maintain a facade of the old order, but since this is a black country they’ll let it slide. Nobody cares if an African country changes rulers by force. But it would be quite another thing if Poland, the UK, or Germany did. You can’t go letting people set precedents like that in white countries, even if it costs every last remaining scrap of social capital to put a stop to it. In America this would look something like aristocrats from the old South joining with the white underclass to overthrow the Yankee and Midwestern bourgeousie (which is more Norman/German).
