Discerning pity party-style death wishes from unrepentant “I fully and consciously intend to sin against God”-style death wishes

Americans have a death wish, collectively and individually. It’s most obvious right now when you’re out on the roads but if you’re looking you can see brinksmanship in everything from hyperinflation to trucker convoys. It’s death cultism all the way down. I imagine it’s the same elsewhere in the West, based on the behavior of other countries. This will become important in prognosticating beyond 2025.

To sum up:
2022 Half-hearted political mania
2023 Full-hearted cult mania and binge “investing” (Year of the Grift)
2024 Everybody wakes up cuffed to a motel bed next to a goat and their money is gone.
Presidential election gets out of hand that year, mask comes off and doesn’t go back on.
2024 will be the year when narcissistic rage turns into a psychotic break.
There are only a couple of ways to deal with homeless psychotics demanding the America they were promised.
TPTB will act accordingly.
2025 will herald the real economic despair.

As I’ve mentioned before, 2020 heralded the end because now everybody knows that everybody knows everybody is full of shit and just pretending to believe what they say, and nothing changed, which is why things are progressing in a more or less deterministic fashion now. It’s like a Texas Hold ‘Em game where everyone’s shown their cards and now we’re just waiting on the dealer.

Getting back to death wishes, most Americans have the kind of death wish that motivates unsuccessful suicide attempts among teenage girls, addictions to depressants in adult men, and willful ignorance in normies. It’s more of a pity party than anything, and even if the results are occasionally serious it’s more of an accident. You can’t negotiate with brinksmanship but it at least has a “means to an end” type of logic to it which may come around to a post-terrorism logic eventually. Faced with death, i.e. having a “rock bottom” moment, maybe 2/3 of such people have the epiphany that they’re grown-ass adults and Mom isn’t coming to the rescue (more than likely she’s tried and been repeatedly rebuffed). They come to terms with the fact that, regardless of how bad previous authority figures were, “we authority now”. You can look forward to people doing this en masse in 2026 or so when the US’s strategic reserve of lies runs out.

Then there’s the more serious kind of death wish where people have their rock bottom moment and decide to take vengeance in an orgy of destruction and self-destruction.

Wyatt Earp:
What makes a man like Ringo, Doc? What makes him do the things he does?

Doc Holliday:
A man like Ringo has got a great big hole, right in the middle of himself. And he can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.

Wyatt Earp:
What does he want?

Doc Holliday:
Revenge.

Wyatt Earp:
For what?

Doc Holliday:
Bein’ born.

-Tombstone

Not only can you not negotiate with someone like this, you can’t show any mercy either. It’s cartoon villainy that’s intelligent and daring and never rests. It’s Satanism without the Luciferian ambition and systemizing autism of Aleister Crowley types. Proper Satanism, as in a rebellion against God’s creation (of which they are a part). You’ll also start seeing this en masse in 2026, but the phenomenon won’t enter the national consciousness until the other types start getting serious about their own survival circa 2027 and realize you can’t build anything while other people in the group are proactively tearing it down. It’s hard to impress upon a normie that some people and populations are intractable problems, so we’ll see if they make the jump out of pure self-interest. If they do things may get interesting.

As usual when I think about things like this, I realize I’m talking about Berserk, because this is the whole bit with the berserker armor and the choice between pursuing vengeance on Griffith and protecting Casca.

I was thinking of that scene last night, saw the movie when I had covid and had to smoke a cigarette so I could LARP as Doc Holliday with tuberculosis for 10 minutes.

    >Proper Satanism, as in a rebellion against God’s creation (of which they are a part).

It tracks better for a materialist I think.
The chief problem for a ‘Satanist’ that believes in the literal existence of God is that by rebelling you are living out prophecy, are playing into God’s drama, are sanctifying him by giving him what is almost certainly a paper tiger to fight. Some of them are fine with that, and just want it all over or do want go out in an unrestrained blaze not truly caring about all that ‘God and Satan stuff’.
Others want to be effective, and perhaps even believe they can conquer God.

TPTB seem to believe a more effective strategy would be to simply erase God from the history books entirely. Shape the world until memory of his existence has completely faded.
Corrupt the masses as completely as possible. No immediate orgies of violence and such.
Basically, tempt him to enter physicality itself in a comprehensive way.
(Moshiach now!- thats not exactly the same but still incredibly fucked up)
This still plays into prophecy though, it’s just more effective at actually hurting more people since scores of them are being eternally damned not just flayed or raped or whatnot.

It is also possible to imagine a third side, that views Satan as a specially crafted pawn to sanctify God (with ‘God as a man’- egoistic, insecure) in an ordained drama that has perhaps played out infinite times before. This group is theoretically the least harmful since they will try to distance themselves as far as possible from both God and Satan. You could say that this is an artistic position- the creation of new worlds where things can be how ‘they ought to be’. (To a christian I’m sure this is just another form of satanism, perhaps ‘Escapist Satanism’ or something.)

An increasingly large number of people (unknowingly) fall into a ‘lite’ version of this group, being not just ‘consumers’ or tourists of other worlds, but true denizens that use these worlds as the primary source of meaning to them.

Escapism, after all, is still the most powerful force in our society by far.

I think this is another reason why all the movies are made to be intentionally shit, are made to be knowingly ineffectively as propaganda and thus incite. To draw people into the fight.
    ///

And then there are all the gnosticisms… I don’t have the patience to go through all that.
At base, the Christian God is basically the devil, the lesser Aeon Sophia is the first holiness and the true God is a light far away. Now add 1000 different interpretations.

Since your ‘zodiacism’ is pretty much gnosticism (assuming your theory is the same), then how that ties in with the stuff in your post here could be interesting.

(Obligatory note that I have no actual clue wtf I’m talking about here)

I was driving at night last week and there was a semi weaving in and out of 3 lanes. It’s getting straight suicidal on the roads.

    >2023 Full-hearted cult mania and binge “investing” (Year of the Grift)

It’s hard to imagine it getting worse. The older guys are on as much margin as possible and the young ones are mining etherium with every GPU they can get their hands on. Unless the Fed intentionally did some kind of suicidal stimulus it just can’t get much crazier. Ppl don’t have any more money to dump!

Also- NFTs… that is peak insanity. Maybe we can start betting on the outcomes of surgeries next?

I mean, only the kinds that show up on soap operas or Lifetime movies. ‘Live or die’ shit.

    • Aeoli Pera says:

      > Maybe we can start betting on the outcomes of surgeries next?

It’s alarming how plausible of an idea that is. Imagine Biden is going under the knife, for example- industries will rise or fall depending on the outcome because, rational or not, a Kamala presidency has economic implications. Now just distribute that to less extreme cases and add derivatives.

      • MM says:

You may have better business sense than you think because I hadn’t thought that far with it.

Just imagine a site where you could bet on celebrities staying together vs getting divorced, getting movie parts, plastic surgery.

Or… oh no… your colleagues getting promoted, fired… Your neighbors staying together…
Whether or not ‘so and so’ will lose 15 lbs this year, or their son will get into Warton, or their druggy whore daughter will overdose or get clean….

A social media site where you could bet on anything involving anyone is about the most socially toxic shit I’ve maybe ever thought of.

It’s also a multi billion dollar idea that monetizes effortlessly (the big problem with social media) and it is obvious from barstool sports and other shit that gambling is going to be legal in the future.

Truly a great business idea for any soul-less evil bastard reading this.

Also a good idea for a short story for people that do that kind of thing.

There’s a pretty high probability that the USGov will have an app for that. Social credit with psycho drugs.
I’m waiting for reddit’s IPO tbh, that’ll be the turning point.

You apparently are good at making (easy) myopic “predictions” …

Because it’s all civilized humans anywhere who “have a death wish, collectively and individually” — read “The 2 Married Pink Elephants In The Historical Room” … https://www.rolf-hefti.com/covid-19-coronavirus.html
