And then there is social media, which is just the worst thing possible for women; encouraging shallow social connection based on visual attractiveness whilst making women feel in competition with every other woman on the planet. Destroys her self esteem. And if she gets addicted to it then suddenly no man can compete with having a cloud of simps. That’s really the female version of porn- a different horrific simulation to get trapped in.
Whereas what stresses a man is usually in the sphere of all socialization itself (he is not good enough for anybody to respect) and thus coping is to turn away from it even more. They immerse themselves in power fantasy (games), simulate sexual success with porn, do weird things like write blogs or comment on them, etc. Eventually, they will either become delusional narcissists, drug addicts, schizoids, or kill themselves outright, if they do not find some tolerable degree of respect (or lose themselves so much in a fake world they can’t even tell the difference).
To speculate why:
Before modern simulation and entertainment excess men died in wars, or as mercenaries/thugs, or drank themselves to death, so nature didn’t have much reason to give a shit that they were ‘maladaptive’- they were more than plenty of them already, and losers should not breed. Society would take care of the truly exemplary minds and put up with their weirdness.
If any of the troublesome men survived to breed then there stress tolerance would be on more or less a different plane then what moderns are used to, since they surely went through varying paths of ‘alot of horrible shit’ and they would have the experience to actually be useful to society proper.
Truly ugly women will become narcissistic demons or shut ins that watch soap operas and read the same twilight books they did when they were teens and still had hope they would turn out ‘pretty’ in the end.
Thankfully though, you don’t need to worry so much about it.
