I have no idea what the answers to those questions are, but almost nobody else seems interested in asking them, which is stupid.

Historically, the Jews have preferred the flexibility of not being definitively in one category or another because proper definitions sabotage their special pleading, which is their ecological niche (AKA double standards, Talmudry, hypocrisy, moral particularism, chutzpah). Therefore the MENA category is bad for the Jews, therefore I predict it won’t happen.
