They identify us by provoking emotional responses to perversions, do the same “point-and-shriek”, swarm, and destroy/replace their victims with carbon copies who march in perfect lockstep. There is no partial submission- when you see someone has buckled under, you know that person is One of Them.

I think the author, Jack Finney, somehow grasped an important game theoretical truth back in 1955 about the logical progression of the spirit of American democracy. Game theory is field of metaphysical absolutes, and all evolving systems are contained in its sphere (ex: politics, evolution by natural selection).

Now to explain why they seem obsessed with pushing ever more offensive perversions. Consider the purpose of this scene with the man-dog hybrid:
The body snatchers were able to identify the ordinary humans among them because the humans had an emotional reaction to the perversion, whereas the body snatchers are characterized by their consistently flat affect. This is also what characterizes SJWs. Some emotional displays are still tolerated (smiling is often mandatory), but eventually they will have enough power to outlaw any emotional response that is not preplanned by The Party.
The author believes they can be fought off. I hope he’s right, because this is essentially what we’re trying to do.
Unlike two of the film adaptations, the novel contains an optimistic ending, with the aliens voluntarily vacating after deciding that they cannot tolerate the type of resistance they see in the main characters.

I hope you aren`t implying that American foreign policy hasn`t been anything other than an unmitigated catastrophe.
Let me give you an example of just how fucked up it is. People love to hate Nixon because he was the last President who was more than just a figurehead(except for H.W., because H.W. ran the CIA.) Nixon understood that it was the Jews and the press that were the enemy. Nixon said that he didn`t want to be the first President to lose a war, but that honour should go to FDR! However, that didn`t happen because the media loves to suck FDR`s cock. The media cannot blame Nixon for the bombings of Vietnam when they could have avoided it by either simply agreeing to call Vietnam a glorious victory even if it was an ignominious defeat, as they did with WWII, or they could have told the truth about WWII and the ineffectiveness of strategic bombing so that the American public wouldn`t have unrealistic expectations. Instead they did neither because the media will always blame everyone but itself, and because they are a bunch of CIA lapdogs, and the CIA disliked Nixon so much that they got rid of him. Nixon`s biggest crime in their eyes was to try to stand up for the American people and to dare to use his own “dirty tricks” to fight back.
Being polite to an SJW is like being sodomised in a mikvah; unless you really pretend to enjoy it, you don’t get access to the special clubs afterwards.
